How to get help for psychological issues

Spørsmål

Hello, I've been struggling with my mental health a lot lately, and I don't really know where to look for help. I have all the symptoms of social anxiety, and some days are really difficult for me since I often feel like I'm experiencing a panick attack. I have never talked to a specialist before, but I would like to do that and have a proper diagnosis, in order to be able to do something about it. Could you please give me an advice on whom I should talk to/where to book an appointment? Thank you so much!

Dear student.

Struggling with mental health alone is hard. All universities have Student welfare organisation ("Studentsamskipnad"). Most of them offer free support from health professionals. Go to your student welfare organisations website to see what services can be useful to you.

The municipality (kommune) where you study also offers services for everybody who lives in the council. You will find contact information on the website of your municiplity.

I hope you will find someone to support you.

Kind regards

Vennlig hilsen fra sykepleieren/samtaleterapeuten
