I feel restless and hopeless, yet nothing terrible has actually happened. I don't think I'll make it through this winter. Could I be depressed? But it feels more like a physical issue, since I'm not under much stress right now. My mood swings rapidly. After noticing my emotional state, I started taking vitamin D last week. I felt better for a few days, but today the despair is back. I want to book a doctor through Helsenorge, but logging in requires BankID. As an international student, I don't have BankID yet. Getting one requires visiting a bank and waiting several weeks—I don't think I can endure that long. Just thinking about it makes anxiety surge again. Could I be lacking some vitamin or mineral? Can I get a blood test? I'm here for a two-year program, not an exchange student, and I have a GP and national ID. Please tell me where I can get help. Thank you.
I understand that you are in need of help for both physical and mental health issues, but you are not sure where to seek such help.
You say that you have a GP.
Here in Norway, the GP is often the first point of contact for patients if they have physical or mental ailments. I would therefore recommend that you make an appointment with your GP. Your GP can conduct an assessment of your symptoms and advise you on where to seek help for your psychological ailments.
Wishing you a speedy recovery!
