Spørsmål
Hi, do you offer group support in English for people who were in an abusive relationship or people who are going through a breakup?
Thank you for asking this important question.
When you are in, or about to get out of, a bad relationship, it is importent to talk to somebody about this. If you have been treated badly by a partner, it can cause emotional and mental challenges now and in the future.
First of all you can seek support from family and friends. You need someone who will listen, understand and be there for you.
After being in an abusive relationship it is also often necesarry to get professional help. I am not sure if any welfare organisations for students gives groupsupport for that. You may use student councelling or other offers throug oure welfare organisation. I recommend that you to check out the opportunities at your campus:
There are also other help options when you have been in a bad relationship. You can talk to your doctor about this, or check out your local support services.
In Norway we have an organization, NOK, that works against violence and sexual abuse. Here you can have conversations both individually and in groups.
I reccomend you to check it out:
Nok. Norge – Ingen skal bli utsatt for seksuelle overgrep
I hope some of these suggestens will be useful for you.
Wish you all the best.
Kind regards
Student counsellor.
