Spørsmål
Hi! I am sending you a message because I have a question regarding medication presciptions. I am from the Netherlands and I just moved to Oslo for my exchange. I have ADHD and I use medication. My doctor gave me a little stock for here. However he was only allowed to give medication for 30 days. So he did and now I have medication for periods like exams. I was wondering if it is possible for me to also get medication from a farmacy here in Oslo. Maybe if my doctor send the prescription to them? I hope you can help me!
I understand that you have received ADHD medication for 30 days from your Dutch doctor for use during exam periods.
Unfortunately, I am unsure whether the prescription from the Netherlands can be used directly at Norwegian pharmacies. To clarify this, I recommend that you contact a Norwegian pharmacy to find out if the Dutch prescription can be used here.
Most likely, you will need a new prescription from a Norwegian doctor. As an exchange student, you can contact SiO Helse to make an appointment with one of our GPs, who can then assess your situation and possibly renew your prescription. It's important that you ask your Dutch doctor to send you documentation of your ADHD diagnosis and current medication.
Hope this was helpful!
