Health services in Oslo for exchange students

Mann 20 .

Spørsmål

Sir or Madam, I am a French exchange student at the University of Oslo and I do not have a D-number. I have recently experienced a medical issue, and my doctor in France has prescribed a blood test. However, I am somewhat unsure about the procedure to follow in Norway. Could you please let me know where I can have this blood test done? Is a French prescription valid in Norway, or do I need to make an appointment with a Norwegian doctor beforehand? I would also like to mention that I hold a European Health Insurance Card. Thank you in advance for your assistance. Yours faithfully,

Mann (20)

Hei,

Velkommen til Norge!

I’m not certain whether you can have blood tests taken in Norway that were ordered by a doctor in France. It may be challenging to have the results sent back to your doctor for evaluation. You can contact the Fürst laboratory directly to inquire about possible arrangements.

As an exchange student in Oslo, you can use the health services provided by SiO Helse. You can read more about their services and how to get in touch on our information pages.

Wishing you a speedy recovery!

Kind regards,
ghe GP
