My mole fell off last night. Should I have a doctor check it out?

It is not possible to determine with certainty what the skin change you have experienced is through this service. In general, it is not uncommon to develop small wounds or sores in the skin for various reasons. A scab may then form and eventually fall off. This is not, in itself, a cause for concern. The skin has a remarkable ability to heal itself.

It would be advisable to keep an eye on the area over the next few weeks and make sure it heals normally. If this becomes a recurring problem in the same area of skin, it may be wise to contact your GP for an assessment.

Fortunately, malignant changes in the skin or moles are uncommon in people in their twenties.
